Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 17, 2026

DocuVault: Album Organizer (“DocuVault,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how DocuVault Version 1.0.1 and our service providers handle information when you use the app.

1. Overview

DocuVault helps you scan documents, organize albums, create PDFs, sync albums from Photos, and review items that may take up storage.

Your photos, videos, documents, and PDFs are processed on your device for DocuVault’s core scanning, editing, album, PDF, and storage-management features. We do not upload this personal content to our own servers or intentionally send it to analytics or attribution providers. Limited technical, usage, attribution, diagnostic, and purchase information may be transmitted as described below.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

Device and app information. We and our service providers may process information such as device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, network information, IP address, and technical identifiers. Identifiers may include IDFV, an Adjust device identifier, a Firebase Installation or App Instance ID, and a pseudonymous ThinkingData visitor or device identifier. If DocuVault requests App Tracking Transparency permission, IDFA is accessed only when you authorize tracking.

Usage and analytics information. We may record app launches, sessions, screen views, feature interactions, button taps, subscription-screen events, purchase events, timestamps, and similar app-usage information. These events are designed not to include the contents of your photos, videos, scans, PDFs, IDs, receipts, bills, notes, or OCR results.

Attribution information. Adjust may process install source, campaign, ad group, creative, referrer, reattribution, and related measurement information so we can understand how users find DocuVault and measure campaign performance.

Diagnostic and performance information. Firebase services enabled in the released app may process crash logs, stack traces, app state, performance metrics, and other technical error information so we can identify and fix stability or performance issues.

Purchase and subscription information. We may receive or process product identifiers, offer or trial status, transaction and renewal status, purchase dates, country or region, currency, and related entitlement information. Apple processes payment credentials. We do not receive your payment card number, Apple Account password, or full billing details.

3. Content We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or intentionally transmit your personal photos, videos, documents, PDFs, IDs, receipts, bills, notes, album content, filenames, or OCR text to our analytics or attribution providers. We do not use this content for advertising or model training.

You do not need to create a DocuVault account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the app’s core features.

4. Photo Library Access

DocuVault may request access to your Photos library so you can:

lSave scanned documents and edited photos to albums

lSync albums from Photos

lImport photos into albums

lReview unfiled photos

lFind text photos, screenshots, similar photos, large videos, and other items

lClear storage by removing items you choose

Photo access is used only to provide these features. We do not upload your Photos library content to our servers.

When you remove items, DocuVault will only remove the items you select and confirm. We do not delete photos or videos without your confirmation.

5. Camera Access

DocuVault may request access to your camera so you can scan receipts, IDs, bills, documents, notes, labels, cards, and other paper records.

Camera access is used only when you choose to capture or scan a document.

6. Files, PDFs, and Albums

DocuVault allows you to create albums, save scanned documents, export PDFs, and manage items inside the app.

When you create or sync albums, the app may create matching albums in your Photos library based on the features you use. PDF files are managed inside the app or exported by you to other apps or locations you choose.

7. How We Use Information

We use limited technical, usage, attribution, diagnostic, and purchase information to operate and improve DocuVault; understand feature usage; measure installs and campaign performance; diagnose crashes and performance problems; verify subscription access; protect the app from fraud or misuse; and comply with legal obligations.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent for tracking or similar processing. We may also process information as necessary to provide the app, fulfill our contractual obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as analytics and security, or comply with law.

8. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We disclose limited information to service providers that process it on our behalf or provide services directly in connection with the app:

lAdjust - mobile attribution and campaign measurement. Privacy information: https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/

lThinkingData (ThinkingAnalytics) - product analytics and usage measurement. Privacy information: https://docs.thinkingdata.cn/ta-manual/v4.2/en/user_guide/privacy_policy.html

lGoogle Firebase - app analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, or performance monitoring, depending on the Firebase services enabled in the released app. Privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

lApple - App Store distribution, subscription and payment processing, purchase restoration, and device permission frameworks. Privacy information: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or misuse, or as part of a business reorganization or transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal photos, videos, documents, PDFs, IDs, receipts, bills, notes, or album content. Depending on campaign configuration, limited attribution information may be shared with advertising partners for measurement, subject to your device permissions and applicable law.

9. Tracking Permission and Privacy Choices

If DocuVault displays Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, you may allow or deny tracking. If you deny permission, DocuVault will not access IDFA. Your choice does not prevent you from using the app’s core features. You can later change this setting in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account or App Store subscription settings. Deleting DocuVault does not cancel an active subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of certain personal information. Contact us using the address below. Because DocuVault does not require an account, we may need limited information to verify and locate a request, and in some cases we may not be able to link pseudonymous SDK data to you.

Deleting the app removes app data stored inside DocuVault from the device, subject to iOS behavior. It does not delete items you saved to Photos, Files, iCloud, or other locations, and it does not automatically delete data already processed by service providers under their retention policies.

10. Data Retention

Content stored inside DocuVault remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app, subject to your device and backup settings. We retain, or instruct service providers to retain, analytics, attribution, diagnostic, and purchase information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, and fraud prevention. Retention periods may differ by provider and configuration.

11. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. Where required, transfers are made using contractual or other safeguards recognized by applicable law.

12. Children’s Privacy

DocuVault is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Data Security

DocuVault is designed to process your personal content locally on your device. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures for information processed by us or our providers, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for managing access to your device, iCloud, Photos library, and files you export or share outside the app.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
